47 Anniversary

"Feb,5,1960

47 years ago Monday February 5, 2007 Bill & I were married .

He is battling cancer right now but doing well. The chemo is playing mean games with his red blood count right now. Past week he had to have 2 shots for the blood & 2 units of blood. He is breathing some better now there is something in there to help him get oxygen. His hair has not all come out but it has turned totally white. Not much for me to cut any more. He will be 73 the 18 of this month. He has been the best husband any one could have. Great provider. Loved our children, always helped with them as babies ,supported them in what they wanted to do in school & now in life . taught them to always be truthful, honest, & hard steady workers.

We had 3 girls and 2 boys. One daughter was killed by a drunk driver in 1968 at 4 years old.

We will see her again & we know she is OK .

We have had many good times too. Our 2 sons & 2 daughters bring us many happy memories .They are delightful children, even thought they are grown up .Our oldest son has 2 sons, Our oldest living daughter has 1 set of twins boy, girl,in the picture to the left, and a eleven year old daughter. They make us proud. They take them to church , help them with their homework & spend time with them. Our oldest granddaughter 's basket ball team won their game Saturday , 5 to 16. She made 12 points of the score. She came to grandpa to have her picture taken with him.

We have many good friends and still are in love as much if not more than when we got married.

God is good to us & we give him thanks daily.

Don't believe he will be able to take me out to eat this anniversary, but I had rather have him and cook that meal than to be alone. After all what is one meal in 47 years!

He bought me a new purse I wanted in Shoney's Saturday and I told him that the best gift I could have was I just wanted him to feel good again.

Hey I didn't mean to write a a book here but will let it go as is.

later,

Elsie
